Eastern Snezhnaya Map
Version 7.2 opens a new region in eastern Snezhnaya:
Novokitezhgrad
Players can board the railway to Novokitezhgrad, described as Snezhnaya’s main producer of Kresnik Kristall. The city is built entirely underground and encased in Kresnik Kristall, set against the snow above.
A colossal creature from the ocean depths is also named as a challenge awaiting players in Novokitezhgrad.
Wingspan Peak and Old Kitezhgrad
East of that underground hub sits Wingspan Peak, shaped like a gigantic wing. There players find Old Kitezhgrad, Snezhnaya’s first city, founded by the Belyi Tsar.
Holy Soil, Ronova, and New Tools
Beyond exploration, players help Snezhnaya confront the Holy Soil phenomenon unleashed by Ronova, using new Prime Ice Constructs and two elemental shotguns against hazards from contaminated Kresnik Kristall deposits while uncovering more of the nation’s past.
Meeting Point Quests
New Meeting Point quests follow Danica on a clandestine cleanup assignment for the Tsaritsa in Novokitezhgrad and Mitya as he investigates soil near Teplo Oasis, with their paths set to cross.
New Characters: Mitya and Valeriy
Mitya (5-Star Electro Catalyst)
Mitya joins as a 5-star Electro Catalyst wielder. HoYoverse describes him as an optimistic scientist willing to defy the Heavenly Principles.
While in the party, he converts the team’s Superconduct reactions into Stellar-Conduct reactions, boosting party Stellar-Conduct DMG and accumulating special energy.
- Elemental Skill (press): releases stored energy for periodic Stellar-Conduct DMG based on the amount stored.
- Elemental Skill (hold): consumes that energy for a rapid flurry of enhanced Charged Attacks, shifting between off-field and on-field play.
- Elemental Burst: deals AoE Electro DMG and generates additional special energy.
In certain Snezhnaya areas, his detection device helps uncover hidden paths and unlock a reward that can change Mitya’s appearance.
Valeriy (4-Star Electro Sword)
Valeriy is a 4-star Electro Sword wielder and Major of the Armory Palace. He provides shields and boosts Electro DMG, especially for Stellar-Conduct teams.
Event Wishes (Banners)
HoYoverse outlines two Event Wish phases for 7.2:
Phase 1
- Mitya debut
- Valeriy debut
- Furina rerun
Phase 2
- Zibai return
- Linnea return
- A new Chronicled Wish featuring certain Natlan characters
Exact banner calendars and end times beyond that phase summary were not itemized in the press release text used here.
Archon Quest and Limited Rewards
The Version 7.2 Archon Quest has the seven nations unite as Nails of Retribution energy fluctuations worsen and mysterious pillars of light mark the Holy Soil crisis. The Tsaritsa convenes a gathering in Snezhnaya. Players join Archons, Neuvillette, and allies across Teyvat.
Limited-period clear rewards named in the announcement:
- 560 Primogems
- Character Ascension Materials for Mitya
Completing the latest Secret Tsarist Assignments yields additional rewards, including a Snezhnaya-themed Wind Glider.
Limited-Time Events
Players unlock a new limited-time event by progressing the Version 7.2 Archon Quest, or via Quick Start. The event has players work with allies from Mondstadt to Snezhnaya against Holy Soil: rescuing wounded soldiers, relaying intel, and running urgent assignments.
Rewards include Primogems, enhancement materials, and a chance to invite a 4-star character of the player’s choice. After the event ends, players can still explore the area to see the aftermath.
HoYoverse also flags:
- A filming event in Snezhnaya
- A mining challenge in Natlan
- Miliastra Wonderland updates: a new masquerade-themed lobby, a free 4-star cosmetic set, and expanded stage-editing components and features
