What is Final Fantasy Resonance?
Square Enix calls Final Fantasy Resonance the first HD-2D game in the Final Fantasy series. It is based on the first story arc of the mobile game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, but the publisher says it is "far from just a direct port" and has been rebuilt as a console RPG. It uses turn-based battles, and Square Enix says chocobos, espers and airships return alongside appearances from characters such as Cloud, Tidus and the Warrior of Light. A September trailer revealed that players can find and challenge Sephiroth to unlock a special reward. Steam lists Square Enix and Lancarse as developers.
Final Fantasy Resonance price and editions
In its June 9, 2026 announcement, Square Enix gave these US prices:

| Digital Deluxe Edition | $59.99 | Base game plus in-game items |
| Collector's Edition | $209.99 | Base game, Digital Deluxe bonuses, and four physical items including an artbook, soundtrack and a Final Fantasy Trading Card Game promo card |
Nintendo's eShop page names the Digital Deluxe bonus the Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack. It includes a Magitek Armor Key that changes your chocobo's look, the Archwitch's Grimoire, a Mastery Ring and a set of consumables.
