Fields of Mistria reached its full 1.0 release on August 5, 2026. For players returning to NPC Studio’s farming and life simulation RPG, the useful question is how that changes an existing farm. The release moves several long-running goals forward, while subsequent patches deal with stability and presentation. NPC Studio’s official press kit lists PC as the released platform and console plans as TBA.
Mistria’s premise remains a town rebuilding after an earthquake. The player receives a neglected homestead in exchange for helping the community. Farming sits alongside fishing, crafting, mining, ranching, seasonal festivals and magic. That range of activities is useful context for the update: the full release touches the town and relationships as well as the farm itself. It is not simply a new crop list.
What the full release adds
The official 1.0 patch notes confirm that the Town Repair questline can now be completed. The Town Renown cap rises to 100, and the Museum can also be finished. Those changes give returning players clear reasons to revisit unfinished community objectives.
Relationships now extend to ten hearts, with proposal events, weddings, marriage and children added to the game. Steam achievements are another addition. NPC Studio says existing achievements populate from a loaded save, so earlier progress can count. Players who want a fresh achievement run can instead start a new file.
The same release introduces beta translations for Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Spanish. These are explicitly described as beta localizations. Players should distinguish access to the game’s features from the completeness of translated dialogue.
Your old farm can continue
NPC Studio’s 1.0 FAQ says saves carry over and new content is available regardless of existing progress. There is no requirement to abandon a farm just to see the full release. The FAQ also confirms that having a child is optional.
For returning players, continuing an established file is therefore a reasonable starting point. A new save remains a personal choice for anyone who would rather learn the systems again. The developer also said it planned further content updates and patches after 1.0; that statement does not establish a timetable for any particular addition or console port.
Check the patch version before returning
The most recent patch visible in the official blog during this source check was version 1.0.6. Its notes address crashes, a black screen when returning to the main menu, display-mode labels and other bugs. NPC Studio says it believes the memory leak introduced in 1.0.5 has been solved, while still asking for reports of instability. It also lists continuing investigations into OBS display capture and Discord screen sharing.
That wording matters: a patch is evidence of specific fixes, rather than a guarantee for every computer. Update before comparing your experience with an older build, and use the developer’s report forms if a problem persists.
